ASHES FROM ASHES Become A NEW REVOLUTION
June 1, 2005Due to "legal issues," ASHES FROM ASHES (formerly ASHES II ASHES) — the new Austin, Texas-based band featuring former SLAVES ON DOPE members Frank "Frankie" Salvaggio (bass) and Rob Urbani (drums),along with ex-UNLOCO singer Joey Duenas — have changed their name to A NEW REVOLUTION. "Let's hope this one sticks," the band write in a press release. "We apologize to all our fans and friends and we hope you understand that this change was needed. We wanted nothing to further hinder us from bringing you our music and live shows."
A NEW REVOLUTION have uploaded two new songs from their recently completed sessions at Matchbox Studios with producer Dwight Baker at MySpace.com. Check out the tracks "Cave In" and "Rise" at this location. A five-song EP and a tour will follow this summer.
A NEW REVOLUTION's next live appearance will take place on Saturday, June 11 at The Backroom in Austin, Texas.
